Job Description

Skyworks is seeking hands-on technician to join San Jose Test Engineering Team. In this role, you will provide essential engineering support focusing on various tasks within an ATE lab environment.

Key responsibilities include ATE fixture assembly, validation, troubleshooting, and repair. You will also conduct golden unit validation in ATE and produce comprehensive summaries and reports.  Additionally, you will play a pivotal role in the ATE solution transfer to production by generating fixture BOMs and documentation.

This role is critical for ensuring the smooth transfer of ATE solution release to production, contributing to the overall success of San Jose Test Engineering Team.

Basic Skills and Qualifications

•    Associate degree or equivalent years of experience.
•    Minimum of four years of directly relevant experience.
•    Proficiency in surface mount soldering.
•    Familiarity with basic hand tools and adherence to best electrical practices.
•    Experience with hot air rework techniques.
•    Ability to interpret assembly drawings and electrical schematics accurately.
•    Excellent manual dexterity for microscopic work.
•    Strong organizational skills, with a focus on attention to detail and process adherence.
•    Understanding of laboratory standards and adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
•    Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
•    Ability to adapt to quickly changing priorities in a dynamic work environment.

Preferred Qualifications

•    Experience operating Automated Test Equipment (ATE) and handlers for semiconductor testing.
•    Knowledge of ATE fixture assembly.
•    Experience managing lab upkeep, including scheduling calibration of engineering lab/test floor equipment and accessories.
•    Capability to perform testing and troubleshooting at the board and component level.

The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is currently USD $31.97 - $56.15 per hour. Starting base pay will depend on relevant experience and skills, training and education, business needs, market demands, the ultimate job duties and requirements, and work location.
