Primary Function


Yulista Tactical Services, LLC has an opening for an Engineering Technician II supporting the US Army Operational Test Command (USAOTC) Intelligence Electronic Warfare Test Directorate (IEWTD) at Fort Huachuca Arizona for the Test Technology Support Services (TTSS) contract. The Engineering Technician II utilizes technical knowledge of electronics principles to install, repair, modify, maintain, test, and develop various types of mechanical, electronic, and electrical equipment and related devices.

Essential Duties
•    Performs assignments that are not completely standardized or prescribed.
•    Selects or adapts standard procedures or equipment, using fully applicable precedents.
•    Receives initial instructions, equipment requirements, and advice from supervisor or engineer as needed.
•    Performs recurring work independently.
•    Performs at this level one or a combination of such typical duties as:
•    Constructing components, subunits, or simple models or adapts standard equipment; may troubleshoot and correct malfunctions.
•    Following specific layout and scientific diagrams to construct and package simple devices and subunits of equipment.
•    Conducting various tests or experiments which may require minor modifications in test setups or procedures as well as subjective judgments in measurement, selecting, preparing, and operating standard test equipment and records test data.
•    Extracting and compiling a variety of engineering data from field notes, manuals, lab reports, etc., processing data, identifying errors or inconsistencies, selecting methods of data presentation.
•    Assisting in design modification by compiling data related to design, specifications, and materials that are pertinent to specific items of equipment or component parts; developing information concerning previous operational failures and modifications and using judgment and initiative to recognize inconsistencies or gaps in data and seek sources to clarify information.
•    Provides guidance for test planning activities. 


Supervisory Responsibilities
This position does not have direct reports or supervisory responsibilities.

•    Knowledge of computer applications software.
•    Can identify and communicate risks and provide mitigation strategies.
•    Ability to enter data accurately into databases.
•    Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
•    Interpersonal skills are necessary to work effectively and cooperatively with all levels of management and staff.
•    Must possess effective oral and technical written communication skills to clearly communicate information to others.
•    Ability to use general office equipment such as phone, copier, scanner, printers, etc.
•    Ability to follow a process.
•    Strong professional customer service skills, including active listening, prompt service and follow-up.
•    Strong decision analysis and problem-solving skills; ability to draw conclusions and justify decisions.
•    Must be able to communicate issues to management. 
•    Ability to perform basic mathematical computations.
•    High degree of self-motivation and the ability to work independently.
•    Ability to multi-task.


Required Qualifications
•    High School Diploma or GED and 2 years of experience, or U.S. Military honorable discharge, or any equivalent combination of relevant education and experience. Must be a US Citizen
•    Must have an active Secret Clearance.
•    Must fluently speak, read, understand, and write the English language.
•    Ability to successfully pass a pre-employment physical and drug test.
