**29193BR** **Job Title:** Engineering Technician **Department:** Wonderful Inst fr Sustnbl Engr **Primary Campus:** University of Kansas Lawrence Campus **Job Description:** **50% Mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation design, construction, and maintaining experimental equipment.** + Models testing apparatus using fusion 360 + Troubleshoot and diagnose malfunctioning lab equipment. + Assist engineers in creating products, improving research processes methods and maintains assembly system. + Performs research build Prototypes and inspect products at the direction of lead engineers. + Install, maintain and repair mechanical system, and electrical systems. + Installs electrical equipment such as relays and solenoids to for experiments. + Uses Microcontroller to build test equipment **45% Software programming such as labview software and operation of experimental apparatus.** + Programs tests using labview or python + Runs tests and corrects issues within the programs + Extracts data from test programs, manages and filters data utilizing excel, and sends data to engineers for analysis.
