In accordance with the goals and initiatives set forth by the Company and Engineering Department, the Engineer Tech will assist with coordinating and performing the activities related to project engineering efforts.
Principle Responsibilities and DutiesThe Engineer Tech will work under the direction of the Engineering Manager or his/her designate on tasks that may include, but are not limited to the following:
Review project scope and customer specs from Apps for projects we are bidding. Create and maintain standard project Document Submittal list. Support Apps in commenting on customer VDRL. Monitor Engineering capacity to support Apps in determining delivery to quote on bids. Support Apps in determining engineering hours to use on bids. Create project schedule for bids and preliminary for sold projects. Ensure long lead equipment is ordered correctly according to Turn-In Review Turn-In and PO for accuracy and costing to identify issues early. Provide initial vessel and line sizing and P&ID markups to Design Team to start model. Complete and submit project pipe specs Verify acoustical recommendations are correct and release Engineering study POs Assist PEs in execution tasks such as creating BOMs, reviewing drawings, conducting walkdowns, etc. Create and maintain standard processes and procedures relating to the execution of Engineering tasks QualificationsEducation
Mechanical or equivalent engineering degree or 5 yrs of relevant mechanical experiencePrevious Assignments
Recip compression experience preferred Exposure to the oil & gas industry would be beneficialQualifications
Engineering software familiarity (Ariel, Flexware, Hysys, Primavera) Self-motivated Excellent Microsoft Office skills Ability to manage time effectively Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills Foundational understanding of the following engineering principles used in our products:- Mechanical Design
- Thermodynamics
- Chemical Processing
- Instrumentation & Controls
