Job Description
Seeking Quality Assurance Engineering Technicians to travel to various landfills and perform on-site documentation and recording of daily activities. This role involves verifying the accuracy of the work performed by general contractors, preparing daily reports, and attending daily meetings.
ResponsibilitiesMonitor and document construction activities at solid waste landfill facilities, including field inspection and testing of soils and geosynthetic liners.Ensure overall compliance with all applicable project specifications and construction drawings.Communicate effectively and organize tasks efficiently.Work independently and as part of a team.Utilize soils laboratory coursework and experience/interest in construction.Travel to various locations, with expenses covered for out-of-town assignments.Work 6-7 days per week with anticipated overtime during construction season.Essential SkillsFamiliarity with construction specifications.Ability to write daily/weekly reports.Attention to detail.Willingness to travel and be away from home for long periods of time.Good communication skills.Additional Skills & QualificationsNuclear Gauge/density certification.Experience in landfill construction.Associate's degree.ACI Certification.Work Environment
This position requires working outdoors at various landfill locations, enduring extreme weather conditions (very hot during summer and very cold during winter). Candidates will work 8-10 hour days and will mostly be on their feet. Travel is generally within Kentucky and some bordering states. Candidates should expect to work 6-7 days a week with significant overtime during the construction season (Warmer Months). Sites are usually regional.
