Job Summary:
As an Engineering Technician, you will work under close supervision to perform basic engineering calculations, investigations, production and software provisioning tasks. You will collaborate with experienced engineers to provide follow-up and engineering assistance on defined problems. This position offers a unique opportunity to develop your skills and knowledge by working closely with various departments and contributing to the success of our projects.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Work with components and assemblies to review and follow instructions provided on Engineering Change Notices, technical production assembly and component drawings, and QA/ENG specifications. Perform work with accuracy, promoting and utilizing work and safety standards daily. Write reports and create PowerPoint presentations as assigned by engineers or management. Collaborate with multiple departments to complete assignments. Review and follow check sheets and specifications for New Product Introduction. Investigate drawings, check engineering specifications, consolidate parts, and verify applications related to starters and alternators. Support the demands of operations by being punctual and flexible with shift schedules and daily overtime as needed. Coordinate testing for sample test units and complete reports for engineer approval. Use measuring/test equipment (calipers, height gauge, multi-meters, etc.). Perform functionality testing using a Diode electrical testing machine or work in the immediate vicinity of such machines while in operation. Implement product and production deviations. Set up, review, and analyze performance of various types of test benches and interpret results or diagnose issues. Comply with all policies and work within the requirements of DENSO Safety, Environmental, and Health Programs.Skills and Abilities:
Proficiency with commonly used measuring/test equipment. Hands-on experience with electrical and mechanical product-related tasks and a keen attention to detail. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities. Demonstrated time management and priority-setting skills. High commitment to quality and customer service. Continuous improvement mindset. Ability to work as part of a cross-functional team. Proficiency in Microsoft Office products such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.Required Qualifications:
