Seeking a motivated and hands-on Test Engineer to join the SEIT (Systems Engineering, Integration and Testing) team. This team is a multi-disciplinary environment of system engineers, data scientists, and test engineers dedicated to advancing the knowledge of robotics/automation and how millions of customer orders are fulfilled every day. The Test Engineer is responsible for the creation and execution of test programs, plans, and methods for subsystem verification tests and complete system verification and validation tests to support new technology and product development programs. The Test Engineer will work with hardware, software, and controls development engineers, technical operations, and solutions engineering to define, execute, and report on verification and validation tests.
Responsibilities
+ Create and execute test programs, plans, and methods for subsystem verification tests.
+ Conduct complete system verification and validation tests.
+ Collaborate with hardware, software, and controls development engineers.
+ Work closely with technical operations and solutions engineering teams.
+ Define, execute, and report on verification and validation tests.
+ Design and plan test conditions, test scripts, and test data sets to ensure appropriate and adequate coverage and control.
+ Write test reports analyzing data gathered during testing.
+ Handle 100-150 requirements end-to-end, ensuring a one-to-one relationship between test cases and business/system requirements.
+ Gather and analyze data during testing, preferring internal capabilities for data output.
+ Handle freight and basic logistics tasks such as palletizing and inducting items.
Essential Skills
+ 2+ years of quality assurance engineering experience.
+ Experience in verification testing.
+ Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
+ Experience working in new technology or product development.
+ Deep hands-on technical expertise in testing of electro-mechanical systems.
+ Experience writing test reports analyzing data.
+ Experience creating test plans derived from functional design requirements.
+ Basic coding/scripting capabilities.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
+ Experience in automation or robotic systems.
+ Understanding of rapid prototyping options.
+ Experience with Agile Development.
+ Experience with FEA (Ansys and/or SW Simulation).
+ Understanding of safety systems.
+ Familiarity with a manufacturing environment.
+ Experience with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance.
+ Experience in 3D CAD (SolidWorks preferred).
+ Design experience of simple parts, assemblies, and fixtures.
+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
+ Ability and desire to work hands-on in lab environments.
Work Environment
This role involves working in a lab environment at BFI1 (Auburn, WA) and BOS27 (Westborough, MA). The SEIT team is a multi-disciplinary group of system engineers, data scientists, and test engineers dedicated to advancing the knowledge of robotics/automation and fulfilling millions of customer orders daily. Team members collaborate with MSP organization members in various roles, including product owners, TPMs, and system engineers. The focus is on conducting test cases post-approval of system-level requirements, following an internal approval process for writing test cases, and requiring contractor assistance for conducting test cases. Contractors can provide feedback on test cases and requirements.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $55.00 - $60.00
