Engineering Technician
Job Title: Engineering Technician Job Description Assemble and test complex mechanical/electrical systems in a cleanroom environment. Support process improvements, engineering testing, lean initiatives, and quality improvements. Responsibilities + Produce products in accordance with established specifications. + Observe and report ongoing problems in product construction or operation. + Support solutions for product and process improvements. + Manufacture and deliver high-level, complex systems according to established procedures. + Solve technical problems and set an example for team members. + Oversee the entire process from assembly through testing and provide expertise. + Contribute to the pilot production process and transition to volume production. + Develop and improve TPD, processes, records, and other relevant topics. + Investigate the impact of new procedures on the production process and suggest improvements. + Acquire sufficient knowledge of new and established products, processes, and systems. + Pass on relevant expertise to team members. + Support teamwork by implementing solutions and departmental tasks. + Coordinate activities according to the production plan and monitor the practical situation. + Control the use of tools, materials, and equipment closely. Essential Skills + Blueprint reading + Mechanical and electrical assembly + Lean manufacturing and process improvement + Engineering and Kaizen + Testing and troubleshooting + Prototype development + Hand tool usage + Cleanroom operations + Electronics and schematic understanding + Test equipment proficiency Additional Skills & Qualifications + AS or BS Degree preferred in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or Chemical fields, or equivalent experience + Manufacturing internship or co-op experience + Lean Manufacturing Training (e.g., Intro to Lean, 5S, Kaizen, VSM) preferred + Mechanical skills Work Environment Multiple shifts are available: + 2nd Shift (3:00pm to 11:30pm, Mon-Fri + 10% shift differential) + 3rd Shift (10:00pm to 6:30am, Sun-Thurs + 15% shift differential) + CWW Days D1 & D2, CWW Nights N1 & N2. + CWW Days include daily OT with + D1 running Sunday-Tuesday on Week 1 and Sunday-Wednesday on Week 2 + D2 running Wednesday-Saturday on Week 1 and Thursday-Saturday on Week 2. + CWW Nights include daily OT and a 15% shift differential with + N1 running Sunday-Tuesday on Week 1 and Sunday-Wednesday on Week 2 + N2 running Wednesday-Saturday on Week 1 and Thursday-Saturday on Week 2. The work is performed in a cleanroom environment. Training for all shifts will be conducted onsite for 2 weeks on 1st shift, Mon-Fri, 8am-4:30pm. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $25.00 Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
