Job Title: Engineering Technician

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Engineering Technician to join our team. In this role, you will work as an engineering casting tech, handle equipment repairs, support maintenance, and lead a team of 8-10 engineering technicians. You will coordinate with production to improve efficiencies, manage production processes including quality control, inventory control, and material flow, and establish a sequence of operations to fabricate parts or products. Additionally, you will draft and design layouts of equipment, materials, and workspace to ensure maximum efficiency and maintain the PM database for the maintenance department.

ResponsibilitiesWork on equipment repairs and support maintenance activities.Lead a team of 8-10 engineering technicians.Coordinate with production to improve efficiencies.Manage production processes including quality control, inventory control, and material flow.Plan and establish a sequence of operations to fabricate parts or products.Draft and design layout of equipment, materials, and workspace to ensure maximum efficiency.Maintain the PM database for the maintenance department.Interpret engineering drawings, schematic diagrams, or formulas.Estimate production cost and assess the effect of machinery design changes for management review.Essential SkillsExperience troubleshooting and maintaining equipment.Experience leading or supervising small teams.Proficiency in Microsoft Office.Strong computer skills, including the ability to create plans, reports, and manage the PM Database.Knowledge of Allen-Bradley PLC.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience Allen Bradley PLC.Electrical experience Experience in casting and foundry.Engineering Degree.Work Environment

This is a first shift position, Monday-Friday, with every other weekend required (never on call). You will report to the Manager of the maintenance area within the casting area and primarily work on the floor. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $31.25 - $32.22
