Engineering Technician
We are seeking an experienced Engineering Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assembling and testing complex mechanical and electrical systems in a cleanroom environment. This role involves supporting process improvements, engineering testing, lean initiatives, and quality improvements. Top 3 Must-Have Skills: + Proficiency in Blueprint Reading: + Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics accurately. + Mechanical and Electrical Assembly Skills: + Hands-on experience in assembling complex mechanical and electrical systems. + Experience in Lean Manufacturing and Process Improvement: + Proven track record in implementing lean manufacturing principles and driving process improvements. Responsibilities: + Assembly and Testing: + Assemble and test complex mechanical/electrical systems in a cleanroom environment. + Manufacture and deliver high-level, complex systems according to established procedures. + Solve technical problems that occur during production. + Set an example for team members and oversee the total process from assembly to testing. + Actively contribute to the pilot production process and the transition to volume production. + Process Improvement: + Support process improvements, engineering testing, lean initiatives, and quality improvements. + Develop and improve TPD, processes, records, and other relevant topics. + Investigate the impact of new procedures on the production process. + Generate constructive ideas for product improvement. + Quality Control: + Produce products in accordance with established specifications. + Observe and report ongoing problems in product construction or operation and support solutions. + Contribute to product and process improvements. + Knowledge Sharing: + Acquire and pass on knowledge of new and established products, processes, modifications, sub-modules, and complete systems. + Support good teamwork by seeking solutions and implementing departmental tasks. + Coordination: + Coordinate activities in the production plan and monitor the use of tools, materials, and equipment. Qualifications: + AS or BS Degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Chemical, or equivalent experience preferred + Manufacturing internship or co-op experience + Lean Manufacturing Training (Intro to Lean, 5S, Kaizen, VSM, etc.) preferred + Strong mechanical skills + Testing and troubleshooting experience + Familiarity with hand tools and test equipment + Knowledge of cleanroom protocols + Strong problem-solving skills Shift Options: We offer different shift options to accommodate various schedules: + 2nd Shift: Monday to Friday, 3 pm to 11 pm + 3rd Shift: Sunday to Friday, 10 pm to 6 am + Compressed Work Weeks: + Days 1: 6AM-6PM + Week 1: Sunday, Monday, Tuesday + Week 2: Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday + Days 2: 6AM-6PM + Week 1: Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday + Week 2: Thursday, Friday, Saturday + Nights 1: 6PM-6AM + Week 1: Sunday, Monday, Tuesday + Week 2: Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday + Nights 2: 6PM-6AM + Week 1: Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday + Week 2: Thursday, Friday, Saturday Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $25.00/hr.
