Job Description
This position assists the Quality Control team in supporting manufacturing by performing testing, analysis, documentation, and recommendations on all manufacturing processes including welding, materials, and chrome. The role also involves assisting in the training of hourly personnel and conducting 5S/Safety Patrols. The objective is to provide recommendations for reducing rework and increasing production throughput while maintaining and revising all quality control ISO 9000 & ISO procedures and maps associated with the process.
ResponsibilitiesPerform testing, analysis, and documentation on manufacturing processes including welding, materials, and chrome.Assist in training hourly personnel and conducting 5S/Safety Patrols.Provide recommendations to reduce rework and increase production throughput.Maintain and revise quality control ISO 9000 & ISO processes, procedures, and maps.Develop, document, and analyze ultrasonic weld rejections for approximately 400 frames a year.Provide reports on trends of increased defective welds, recommend countermeasures, and implementation schedules.Measure and document length of the weld and identify defects.Essential SkillsExperience in a welding manufacturing environment.Hands on weld inspection experience.High School Diploma/GED; Associate’s degree preferred.Additional Skills & QualificationsProficiency in MS Excel, data entry using templates, reporting, email communication, and using shared drives.Ability to work autonomously and independently.Strong work ethic and excellent communication skills.Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the company.Strong sense of urgency.Experience in various types of welding, including production welding.Work Environment
The position will primarily be on a second shift starting at 3 pm and may require staying over, potentially lasting until 1 am with overtime pay. Training will be conducted on the first shift for 2-4 weeks. The role includes a $1 shift differential. The work environment involves minimal supervision and requires a strong focus on quality inspection and documentation. Benefits include a $50 monthly phone stipend, 10 days of vacation per year (granted on day one), and 13 paid holidays.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $18.00 - $28.00/hr.
