Engineering Technician

We are seeking an experienced Engineering Technician to join our team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for assembling and testing complex mechanical and electrical systems in a cleanroom environment.

This role involves supporting process improvements, engineering testing, lean initiatives, and quality improvements.

Top 3 Must-Have Skills:

Proficiency in Blueprint Reading:Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics accurately.Mechanical and Electrical Assembly Skills:Hands-on experience in assembling complex mechanical and electrical systems.Experience in Lean Manufacturing and Process Improvement:Proven track record in implementing lean manufacturing principles and driving process improvements.

Responsibilities:

Assembly and Testing:Assemble and test complex mechanical/electrical systems in a cleanroom environment.Manufacture and deliver high-level, complex systems according to established procedures.Solve technical problems that occur during production.Set an example for team members and oversee the total process from assembly to testing.Actively contribute to the pilot production process and the transition to volume production.Process Improvement:Support process improvements, engineering testing, lean initiatives, and quality improvements.Develop and improve TPD, processes, records, and other relevant topics.Investigate the impact of new procedures on the production process.Generate constructive ideas for product improvement.Quality Control:Produce products in accordance with established specifications.Observe and report ongoing problems in product construction or operation and support solutions.Contribute to product and process improvements.Knowledge Sharing:Acquire and pass on knowledge of new and established products, processes, modifications, sub-modules, and complete systems.Support good teamwork by seeking solutions and implementing departmental tasks.Coordination:Coordinate activities in the production plan and monitor the use of tools, materials, and equipment.

Qualifications:

AS or BS Degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Chemical, or equivalent experience preferredManufacturing internship or co-op experienceLean Manufacturing Training (Intro to Lean, 5S, Kaizen, VSM, etc.) preferredStrong mechanical skillsTesting and troubleshooting experienceFamiliarity with hand tools and test equipmentKnowledge of cleanroom protocolsStrong problem-solving skills

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $25.00/hr.
