Job Title: Engineering TechnicianJob Description We are seeking an experienced Engineering Technician with a strong background in sUAS assembly and small component assembly. The ideal candidate will possess a solid understanding of sub-systems in an sUAS, have the ability to troubleshoot effectively, and have prior experience working with schematic/blueprint/work instructions. Responsibilities + Perform mechanical assembly, sub-assembly, and repair of sUAS components. + Troubleshoot and support engineering tasks. + Solder, prototype, and use an oscilloscope for various tasks. + Work with part numbering and BOM structures to integrate them into products. + Review customer equipment and assist with RCCA (Root Cause and Correction Analysis). + Recognize trends in failures and components to report back to the QA department. + Apply consistent methods and processes meticulously. Essential Skills + Experience with sUAS assembly and small component assembly. + Understanding of sub-systems in an sUAS and troubleshooting skills. + Knowledge of part numbering, BOM structures, and their integration into products. + Ability to read and work with schematics, blueprints, and work instructions. + Mechanical assembly and repair skills. + Proficiency with soldering, prototyping, and using an oscilloscope. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Associate Degree in a technical field. + Time management skills to support production and RMA schedules. + Critical inspection skills to review incoming products and determine field failures. + Ability to assist with RCCA and work collaboratively with team members. + Experience with assembly of small components and using hand tools. Work Environment Work hours are from 6:55 AM to 3:30 PM, with occasional Saturday shifts. The role is based at 4465 Maysville Rd, Huntsville, AL. The team currently includes 20 Actalent contractors. This position involves a dynamic work environment with active research and development partnerships with the Army/Air Force for UAS capabilities and new UAS products. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
