Job Title: Engineering TechnicianJob Description We are seeking an experienced Engineering Technician to join our team. You will work on electronic assemblies for a variety of applications, including military, medical, and industrial environments. Your role will involve soldering, mechanical assembly, and providing feedback on design and manufacturing processes. Responsibilities + Perform soldering and rework on a wide range of electronic assemblies. + Conduct mechanical assembly of system-level electronic devices. + Provide and document feedback on design for assembly and manufacturing processes. + Support inventory management. + Manage lab organization. Essential Skills + 5+ years of related technical experience. + Experience with electronics assembly, soldering, including fine-pitch SMT and BGA devices. + Ability to work on ITAR projects (US Person). + Proficiency in reading and understanding electrical schematics and mechanical fabrication drawings. + Knowledge of ISO standards. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Associate’s Degree or Technical Degree in Engineering, or a related technical field. + Ability to receive, assess, and debug incoming returned failing devices for repair. + Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) training. + US citizenship. Work Environment The position is based in a facility in Rockville, MD, which includes both office space and a lab. You will be working in a prototype/R&D environment. The smaller site offers the opportunity to take on diverse roles and gain experience across various industries, including Aerospace, Defense, Medical Device, and Consumer Electronics. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $33.65 - $36.05/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
