Position Summary
This maintenance role assists engineers in the planning, testing, repair, and tooling of mechanical equipment. This is accomplished by gathering data, testing new machine parts or product prototypes (bottles, substrate, formulas, etc.) for operating efficiency. Uses information to support corrective actions when addressing equipment failures in either machines and/or production processes.
Responsibilities
+ Provides technical assistance to the manufacturing facility in tooling and fixture repair.
+ Performs root cause analysis of systematic tooling and fixture issues and implementation of solutions.
+ Designs, fabricates, modifies, and assembles new or existing mechanical components. Conveys to an engineer/supervisor to bring solutions to systemic issues that are related to machine/process design.
+ Leads portions of tooling and fixture repairs and or improvements, including vendor selection and development.
+ Manages projects in a manner to assure product quality and customer satisfaction are achieved.
+ Uses technical software to develop drafts of fixtures; works with engineering to get approval for implementation.
+ Installs new or upgraded systems and equipment.
+ Trains/develops other maintenance colleagues on newly installed systems, equipment, and processes.
+ Conducts advanced troubleshooting checks on equipment and systems after installation (for new lines, new products on existing lines).
+ Collaborates and provides technical assistance (from a maintenance perspective) on new product development projects and initiatives.
+ Designs new or modifies existing machine fixtures and tools to meet manufacturing/facility needs.
+ Utilize Toolroom equipment and 3D printing to manufacture parts for repairs and improvements.
+ Execute and oversee changes and or improvements to tooling and machine fixtures.
+ Supports manufacturing management in lean/continuous improvement planning and activities.
+ Evaluates production issues and work with the process owners, maintenance, and quality to develop, plan, and implement both short and long-term solutions.
+ Performs other duties as requested or assigned.
+ Assist maintenance in analyzing and evaluating machine health by gathering data through testing and using CMMS data.
+ Key role in line/machine installation, initial run and debugging issues.
+ Provide technical support to engineers during the design of manufacturing processes for a production facility.
+ Assists in the development of layouts or floor plans, conducts tests and troubleshoots equipment.
+ Devotes at least 40% of workday to providing production support.
+ Creates purchase orders for specific initiatives and/or fixes.
+ Document test procedures and results.
+ Work overtime when approved.
+ Performs other duties as requested or assigned.
We we are looking for
+ 7+ years of experience in manufacturing environment.
+ Journeyman card - Toolmaker
+ Experience using engineering software programs (CAD, 3D CAD, Mastercam) and Microsoft Office
+ Strong math skills
+ Project management mindset
+ Familiarity with data collection and working within maintenance CMM systems.
+ Knowledge of research and testing methodologies.
+ Basic understanding of engineering concepts/tools.
+ Physical strength – including the ability to sit, stand, bend and lift items throughout a work shift.
+ Ability to collaborate effectively with various audiences.
+ Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
+ Strong customer service skills and time management.
+ Excellent health and safety knowledge/mindset.
+ Ability to remain professional in a fast-paced team environment.
+ A strong willingness to learn.

Total Rewards Package
The pay rate for this position is up to USD $37.40/Hr. per hour
