L3Harris’ Communication Systems segment is currently seeking a Engineering Technician B to join our team. This position will be based at our Salt Lake City, Utah facility.

Overall Summary:

Engineering Technician supports and assists the Manufacturing Process Engineers as the front line floor support for the manufacturing floor. They view and disposition non-conformances identified on the manufacturing floor. They create instructions/operations for handling non-conformances. Also, assist with creating time standards and helping to maintain processes as directed by the manufacturing engineers. This individual would help manage work queues.

Essential Responsibilities:

Perform electronic testing, both manual and automated, in a production environmentPerform electrical troubleshooting and fault isolation in a production environmentAssist Test Engineering on trends, root causes and corrective actionsOperates related test equipment (signal generators, spectrum analyzers, etc.)Participate in process improvement activities in both test and manufacturingAdherence to L3Harris policies and procedures, including but not limited to, calibration of equipment, ESD (electrostatic discharge), FOD (foreign object debris/damage) and general housekeeping.Clearance if desired, ability to travel, working extended hoursMust be able to lift 30lbs

Basic Qualifications:

Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 4 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

Fully proficient knowledge of RF and digitals signalsFully proficient of basic Analog, Digital and RF circuitryComfortable using PC based applicationsFully proficient using test equipment (RF signal generators, spectrum analyzers, power meters, voltage meters and oscilloscopes)Must be able to obtain/maintain a Department of Defense Security Clearance.+2 years of experience preferred in RF and digital signals.+2 years of experience with signal generators, spectrum analyzers, power meters.
