About the Position: This is an Engineering Technician, GS-0802-7/8/9 position with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Southwestern Division (SWD), Fort Worth District, located in Jasper or Texarkana, TX. Gather information from files and prepares various reports relevant to maintenance and construction activities. Perform contract activities of technical nature. For the GS-08: Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience includes the following duties: 1) Reviewing scopes of work covering civil engineering features on various civil work projects AND 2) Evaluating contract designs to ensure accuracy and conformance with construction specifications. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07). For the GS-09: Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience includes the following duties: 1) Conducting field surveys AND 2) Preparing contracts and specifications, AND 3) Reviewing design criteria for maintenance and construction projects. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-08).
