Responsibilities Design instrumentation and capabilities from the concept stage to the finished design or prototype. Conduct cost/benefit analyses to capture differences in man-hours associated with rework. Analyze records and reports and make detailed on-site studies of the work in progress in recurring critical problem areas. Evaluate issues and determine which approach should be taken to solve the issues with managed equipment. Exercise initiative in providing innovative on-site solutions to problems. Prepare and present reports, briefings to supervisor and leadership on issues found. Make use of commercial-off-the-shelf items and/or designs and develop special capabilities required to meet unique test requirements.
