This posting is for a Engineering Technician I in the Division 4 Roadside Environmental Unit. + In this position you will ensure that mowing, litter removal and vegetation management contracts are prepared and administered correctly. + You will provide technical guidance to the Roadside Environmental Unit crews to ensure the successful delivery of the work plan and provide prompt responses to maintenance needs. + You will also serve as a contract administrator for mowing, litter removal and fully operated rental contracts. It also requires familiarization with reading plans, contract specifications and applicable standards, and performing necessary inspections. + In this position you will perform a variety of office assignments using Microsoft Office, as well as making sure contractor’s invoices are correct, contracts are kept up to date and any other duties that may be assigned. In this position you will be exposed to all types of weather conditions as well as climbing, bending, walking, and operating equipment on uneven terrain and slopes. This position is subject to emergency call back, scheduled night work, and work during adverse weather or other extreme circumstances.
