Job Description

The Engineering Technician II will contribute to ongoing support and implement hardware and software upgrades on equipment and automated systems. The ideal candidate will have PLC programming experience in a manufacturing environment working with equipment.

ResponsibilitiesSupport ongoing operations and implement hardware and software upgrades on equipment and automated systems.Utilize PLC programming in a manufacturing environment to ensure efficient operation of equipment.Assist with maintenance issues on manufacturing equipment when required.Troubleshoot and maintain PLCs and electrical systems.Work with mechanical equipment and demonstrate mechanical aptitude.Document processes and interpret electrical drawings.Collaborate with the engineering team on various projects to increase production efficiency.Essential Skills3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.Proficiency in automation, Allen-Bradley (Studio 5000), and PLC programming/troubleshooting.Experience with electrical systems, servo drives, and manufacturing equipment.Knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, fluid dynamics, heat transfer, and power transmission equipment.Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings.Experience with Rockwell Automation.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with pneumatics, hydraulics, fluid dynamics, heat transfer, and power transmission/wiring.Work Environment

The position will be based mostly adjacent to the production area, commonly referred to as the bird's nest. Most equipment programming drops back to this location. The environment is very clean, but smells may be a factor for some individuals. The production environment could potentially affect people who are sensitive to smells. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $89960.00 - $96241.00

40-hrs accrued vacation 1st year (3 month waiting period to take vacation). Able to roll 80hrs/yr once accrued.
10 Holidays (New Year's, MLK Day, Good Friday, Memorial Day, July 4 & 5, Labor Day, Thanksgiving and Day After, Christmas Day)
3 Medical Plans, 1 Dental plan offered. (BC/BS)
401k elective plan - matching 50% up to 6% (if elect 6%, company to match up to 3%).
HSA - Company contributes based on which plan they choose.
NYS Paid sick leave - accrued up to 56 hours yearly.
Company performance bonus up to $200/yr is meeting specific metrics.
Holiday bonus up to $750/yr
Wellbeing Program - Eligible to earn up to 24 hours of PTO per calendar yr for meeting wellbeing criteria or $300/yr.
