Job Description
We are seeking a Technician II to perform activities related to system commissioning and installation of equipment. The ideal candidate will conduct system check-outs and advanced mechanical and electrical troubleshooting as needed.
ResponsibilitiesTest mechanical and electrical panels containing components from CAT5 to electronics to servos.Wire panels to respective machines per schematics.Troubleshoot mechanical components of custom equipment.Install control panels for machines.Troubleshoot and debug equipment with the engineering team.Work directly from schematics and blueprints.Essential SkillsExperience in engineering, electronics, and test equipment.Proficiency in system integration and automation.Electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills.Ability to read and work from schematics and blueprints.Experience in wiring and calibration.Additional Skills & QualificationsAAS Degree in Manufacturing or Engineering.3 years of mechanical manufacturing or electrical technician experience.3 years of experience reading and working off of blueprints and electrical schematics.3 years of experience with capital equipment manufacturing.2 years of mechanical and/or electrical troubleshooting.System integration experience is a plus.Work Environment
The work environment includes a clean, state-of-the-art facility with minimal turnover. The company builds proprietary laser machines for various industries, primarily aerospace. The team consists of 55-60 employees at this location, part of a larger corporation headquartered in Italy. The role includes shop work and installation and commissioning of new equipment at client sites, with 10-20% travel over time. Candidates should be comfortable handling customer interactions in potentially high-pressure environments.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $60000.00 - $62000.00/yr.
