This position will serve as an Engineering Technician II in the Andrews District Office. Positions in this classification perform technical duties supporting engineers and other professionals in areas such as highway construction, materials testing, design, surveys, and/or program/regulatory compliance. Work functions may include: inspection for compliance and/or code; collection and analysis of field data; testing of materials; review, modification and/or design of plans; analysis of engineering related data, products, and/or functions. Work may include functioning in a supervisory role for direct reports including performing/supervising several administrative functions or supervision of a separate function of considerable complexity. This position will also assist in District Office Survey Party Operations. This position is required to utilize HiCAMS and other software as required.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities / Competencies

Associate degree in an applicable area of Engineering Technology, Survey Technology or a related curriculum from an appropriately accredited institution and two (2) years of progressive technician level experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
