Engineering Technician IV (30084)

This Engineering Technician IV (30084) will be support for Airborne assigned systems or platforms. This will include the assessment, modification, overhaul, maintenance, repair, and upgrade (MRU) of fielded EW systems as referenced above. The ideal candidate will be able to perform the following duties, as well as possess the following education and experience: Duties: + Conduct testing and evaluation of EW systems, subsystems, equipment and components. + Routine repair, retrofit, systems integration, calibration and testing. + In-line repair and testing. + Operation of test equipment. + Coordination of test schedules. + Preparing inputs for test plans. + Reviewing test plans and procedures. + Conducting or monitoring system, subsystem, equipment or component testing. + Adjusting units under test. + Analyzing test results. + Determining valid recommendations and conclusions based on test data. + Preparing formal reports and related tasks required for life cycle support. Desired Education: + High School Diploma or equivalent with an additional two (2) years of experience. Desired Experience: + Minimum of 4 years equivalent relevant work experience. + Skilled in performing a wide variety of technical tasks (ex. Cable assembly, soldering, electro-much assembly, etc.). Exceptionally skilled in one or more task area. + Clearly demonstrates originality and innovation in specialized tasks. + Demonstrates in-depth understanding of production and engineering documentation (drawings, schematics, BOMs, test procedures etc.). Demonstrates the ability to define and implement process improvements and take leadership rolls in specific task areas. + Individual has demonstrated a growing understanding of interfacing processes. SCLS Language: This position is covered by the Service Contract Labor Standard under a Wage Determination. As such Under the SCA selected candidates are entitled to both the hourly rate aforementioned and a health and welfare benefit.
