In this role you will have great latitude to establish and perform as an Engineering Technician IV, you will be regarded as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) and use your skills and expertise to perform a variety of duties in the electronic, mechanical, electromechanical, and/or propulsion. You'll be responsible for constructing, troubleshooting, calibrating, testing, and maintaining our equipment, components, devices, or systems. You'll ensure our systems and components meet established specifications. You will support internal and external project efforts by developing and conducting engine performance testing, identifying key test activities, safely operating and testing UAS propulsion systems, working with engineering groups to identify and resolve design flaws and deficiencies.

Qualifications You Must Have:

Associate's degree in a related field of study and 6 or more years of experience A higher level degree may substitute for experienceRelated experience may be considered in lieu of required educationAbility to understand and interpret moderately complex technical schematics, diagrams, blueprints, manuals and/or publicationsThorough understanding of the use of standard laboratory test equipment, spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, Oscilloscope,  Pitot static equipment, other measurement equipment, hand tools, and power toolsAdvanced skills with assembly, connectors and crimping techniquesomprehensive understanding of the use of standard laboratory test equipment, spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, Oscilloscope, Pitot static equipment, other measurement equipment, hand tools, and power toolsUnderstanding of piston driven engines (2t, 4t, SI, CI)Experience with piston engine assemblyExperience with Electronic Fuel Injection calibration and testingExperience with electrical system diagnostics and troubleshootingExperience with fuel system diagnostics and troubleshootingExperience with engine dynamometer testing preferredExperience with harness assemblyThe ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance is required

Qualifications We Prefer:

IPC certificate Basic skills with engine and avionics installation tooling, wiring, wiring repair, and wiring installationUnderstanding of soldering techniquesPrevious experience in a manufacturing environmentExperience with 3-D CAD softwareExperience with metal fabrication
