Summary You will serve as a ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN (NAVAL ARCHITECT) in the Structural Engineering Branch (TRF-413), Engineering and Scientific Services Division (TRF-410), Planning Department (TRF-400) of TRIREFFAC KINGS BAY. Responsibilities You will furnish complete and concise engineering resolution and planning services of problems involving structrual systems. You will assist in training new engineers and engineering technicians in the organization. You will prepare and review correspondence such as Job Summaries, Automated Work Request, technical reports. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications GS-12 Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience managing and executing projects related to complex structural issues. Experience requiring a high level of technical expertise and independence in performing detailed URO/MRC inspections of submarine hull structures. Experience recommending NDT locations, analyzing results, and determining necessary repairs. Experience preparing technical documents and reports while addressing complex structural engineering problems. Experience serving as a Preservation and Coating inspector.
