**Purpose**
To perform feasibility and due diligence studies, assist engineers with design and calculations, and assist with preliminary civil engineering plans.
**Responsibilities**
**Leadership and Direction**
+ Perform work under direct supervision of an experienced professional and follow established procedures and clearly defined Receive direction on all aspects of assignments, specific tasks and how to execute. Work is thoroughly reviewed by more senior staff to ensure application of sound techniques and principles.
**At the Operational and Company Level**
+ Work closely with more senior staff members to learn and assist in design Interact with multiple departments and peers within the organization to gain experience in civil engineering tasks.
**Do the Work**
+ Perform feasibility and due diligence studies including writing reports, researching existing records and permits
+ Assist with all aspects of project scope including site grading, erosion and sediment control design, CAD design and drafting, stormwater management design, water treatment and utility design. Assist with field inspections.
+ Assist with task assigned by senior engineering and technical personnel
+ Assist with land development research, cost estimates, and entitlements for various land development projects.
+ Observe and participate in construction administration (RFI/Submittals) with guidance from senior engineering staff.
+ Collaborate with team leaders and departments in solving engineering problems.
+ Forge and maintain relationship with jurisdictions, utility providers and permitting agencies.
+ Communicate with utility providers for available services for on-going projects.

**Qualifications**
+ Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related field required.
+ Entry level position, no prior experience Any experience in civil and environmental engineering or related field a plus.
+ Experience reading and reviewing construction plans a plus.
+ Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
+ Must hold a valid state driver’s license and successfully pass a motor vehicle check.
**Physical Demands and Working Environment**
+ Primarily indoor professional office environment, which can consist of possible bright/dim light, noise, fumes, odors, and traffic.
+ Partially outdoor work environment which may include exposure to adverse weather conditions, varying temperatures, excessive noise, and/or potential hazards.
+ Mobility around an office environment, occasional squat orFrequent and prolonged use of standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
