Position Summary

Bridgestone Americas Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Engineering Technician Trainee for the Warren County, TN facility. The Maintenance Engineering Technician Trainee will report to Maintenance Management for two years. At the end of the two year program, trainees will be considered for full-time Engineering Technician positions.
The trainee will provide maintenance support to the operations departments in a highly automated environment. This multi-craft position (electrical, mechanical, and electronic) will be responsible for troubleshooting mechanical, electronic and electrical industrial equipment for a designated department within the plant. The ideal candidate must have a continuous improvement mindset while achieving the overall objectives with preventative maintenance and quick repair for trouble calls from operating technicians.
Top out pay rate is $30.00/ hour.
The Warren County Plant is the flagship tire manufacturing facility within Bridgestone Americas Inc. Warren County produces Truck and Bus radial tires and operates on a 24/7 basis.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities for the Maintenance Engineering Technician Trainee role include the following:

- Preventative Maintenance (continuous improvement)
- Perform Maintenance and troubleshoot Mechanical, Electronic, and Electrical Industrial equipment
- Perform Quick Repair for Trouble Calls from Operating Technicians
- Troubleshooting Programmable Logic Controls (PLCs)

Applicants must be 18 years of age or older and meet the following minimum requirements:

- Be at least 18 years old (on the date the opportunity is posted);

- Receive a passing score on the entry test and/or interview assessment selected by the Company; AND

- Have completed TCAT’s Industrial Maintenance program, TCAT’s Mechatronics program, Motlow State Community College’s Mechatronics Technology (A.A.S.) program, or an equivalent educational program that is approved by the Company by the employment start date.

Assuming that an applicant meets the minimum qualifications listed above, in order to be further considered, the applicant must pass a entrance test taken on a computer.
