T-Mobile is America’s supercharged Un-carrier, delivering an advanced 4G LTE and transformative nationwide 5G network that will offer reliable connectivity for all. Engineers, Software is in Frisco, TX will design and develop infrastructure capabilities to support complex business objectives.

• Telecommuting is permitted, but applicants must live within a reasonable commuting distance.

Position duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Develop build packages using scripting language and tools per technical specifications, with deliverables to include code builds and documented unit test results.

Ensures continuous integration and build process is in place and maintained as per industry best practices.

Collaborate/partner with other teams including Enterprise Testing, Release Planning and Management, Business Systems Analysis, Project Management, Data Analytics, and Application Support on successful delivery of systems enhancements.

Develop production release documentation to ensure all dependencies are accurately identified for release.

Maintains technical skills and expertise through continuing education and training.

Communicates design, requirements, functionality, and limitations of systems/applications.

Identifies and creates/updates support documentation as needed by the DevOps function and drive, monitor, and takes part in Peer Review to allow acceptance of system changes into production.

Provides on-call and after-hours support as required for production releases and to respond and provide active resolution support on production outages.

Collaborates with architects and other Software Engineers on design.

Expertise to automate Cloud infrastructure buildup in AWS / Azure using scripts like Terraform.

Specific Skills Requirement - must have professional experience in: 

Experience with Gitlab to develop CI/CD pipeline using GitLab provided tools.

Writing shell scripts using BASH and PowerShell to automate routine devops tasks.

Experience with Linux Administration of configuring network adapters, DNS configuration, kernel patching, and application hardening and tuning.

AWS experience in installing, configuring, and managing EC2 instance, firewalls, and routers.

Experience with Infrastructure as a Code (IaC) using Terraform, Ansible, Chef, and CloudFormation templates to create a whole environment in automated way with reusable templates.

Orchestrating docker containers (Docker Compose, and Kubernetes) and work on optimizing configurations in Kubernetes to minimize container security threats or violations and increase container performance.

Experience and education requirements:

PRIMARY REQUIREMENTS: Master’s degree in Computer and Information Technology, Electrical and Computer Engineering or related field, and 1 year of relevant work experience.

ALTERNATIVE REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree in Computer and Information Technology, Electrical and Computer Engineering or related field, and 3 years of relevant work experience.
