Enterprise Application Group Manager

This position provides senior management level direction to Technology Infrastructure teams in the areas of systems engineering, architecture, software development, automated testing, continuous delivery and database administration.

Job Duties -

Directs, coordinates, and controls the daily activities and progress of assigned staff to achieve the objectives of the Technology Infrastructure department. Interviews, screens and hires team members as replacements or additions to staff, as well as directs promotions and terminations.  Prepares and conducts performance appraisals. Commends employee progress and/or takes appropriate corrective action designed to improve performance or to correct failures in order to meet Club and departmental standards. Supervises employees’ compliance with Club policy, safety procedures, Federal and State laws, including, but not limited to, payroll and attendance, and approve necessary reports in compliance with those laws.

Provide management oversight to Supervisors, Managers and Product Owners within the Enterprise Service Delivery department who provide expertise and consultation in addressing key network issues or technologies. 

Provide management oversight to Supervisors, Managers, Product Owners, Systems Architects and Engineers who design complex engineering solutions covering technical aspects such as end-to-end integration, platform architecture, scalability and availability, that enhance the security, performance, reliability, stability and administration of Club’s enterprise environment. 

Provide management oversight to Managers and Product Owners within the Emergency Road Service, Automative, Travel, Testing and Automation technology areas.  

Provide management oversight to Managers, Product Owners and Database administrators providing database related services for the production, staging, and test databases in various forms of relational database management systems (RDBMS) on multiple platforms.  The functions include database performance tuning and reorganization, database maintenance in structural changes, space adjustment, database design, database backup and data recovery, developing process and procedures, documentations, and provide general DBA support direction. 

Qualifications -

5 plus years of managerial leadership experience in application development or technology infrastructure.

Prior experience working in insurance or financial service organizations desired.

Proven experience building and successfully launching enterprise-grade applications.

Understanding of Agile software development methodologies.

Proven ability to drive change, challenge the status quo and encourage the organization to do things differently in a diplomatic manner.

Experience transitioning from a traditional development model to Agile methodology.

Experience building and mentoring scalable teams that can meet the demands of a dynamic and growing organization.

Strong relationship builder; ability to work well with multiple business units.

Demonstrated experience in project management, to include, leading teams on large scale projects from vision through implementation utilizing internal and external resources.

Successful track record of managing a 100+ person team.

Experience in managing a team of IT professionals located in multiple locations.

Ability to interface with senior management, as well as a diverse culture of corporate, operations and IT personnel.

Proven ability to lead IT transformational initiatives in complex and dynamic environments.

Proven knowledge of software development life cycle principles and custom software development projects.

Ability to be a strong influencer and collaborator with IT colleagues, business unit executives and external business partners.

Ability to communicate technology-related concepts to a broad range of technical and non-technical management and staff.

High level of personal integrity, and the ability to professionally handle confidential matters and exude the appropriate level of judgment and maturity.

The starting pay range for this position is:

$168,100.00 - $224,100.00
