Job Description
This EA position will partner with technology leaders, SMEs, and solution architects across the Lines of Businesses to drive strategic efforts for transforming rationalizing legacy modeling processes. In this role, they will draw upon their business and technology experience to partner with key stakeholders to ensure that the strategic business capability needs, technology perspectives, architectures, and roadmaps are well crafted, presented, and achieve consensus. They will be required to understand complex business and system interactions to develop and modify architecture deliverables such as metamodels, value streams, journey maps, and process models, by applying industry best practice frameworks.
Key deliverables in partnership with the other stakeholders are:
• Understand strategic direction of key business areas and governance controls and serve as a trusted advisor and partner.
• Provide thought leadership in translating business needs into architecture and bringing alignment to technology solutions.
• Create and analyze relevant information and develop technology recommendations that are presented to senior management and business stakeholders.
• Bring siloed organizations together to work towards a common strategy.
• Influence at multiple levels of the organization and multiple priorities to continue to make progress.
• Interface with executive stakeholders to articulate business impact of technology challenges /decisions and facilitate decision making.
• Facilitate the construction of architecture models, which may include logical designs, business processes, and organization design.
Some specific accountabilities:
o Review any proposed new technology objects and services, including SaaS solutions, for alignment with modeling standards.
o Support modeling platform (ARIS) users through direct engagement and helpdesk ticket monitoring.
o Assess and manage the changes to ARIS metamodels.
o Participation in EA Governance processes supported by modeling efforts and automation.
o Facilitating use-case development sessions
Some key desired skills:
• Proven experience in strategic thinking, enterprise architecture practices, and well versed in system architectures/integrations.
• Strong understanding of architecture modelling (Logical Designs, Value Streams, Capability views, and process modeling)
• Ability to work in a dynamic environment across lines of businesses.
• Experience working in financial services organizations, preferably in a vendor hosted application ecosystem.
• Excellent communication, influencing and presentation skills.
• Experience with object-oriented scripting languages, especially JavaScript, is strongly preferred.
