This is an intermediate level Enterprise Data Analyst role in Equifax's Global Data Office. This individual will be part of a team focused on delivering innovation and solutions that make it easier for teams to use Equifax data globally. You will work with Global Data Office leaders, and collaborate with business unit, data science, and functional teams, to analyze data and metadata that drives Equifax’s business – with a goal of maximizing its value. Data Analysts on this team will leverage our cloud native data fabric and a variety of other platforms and tools.

This position is based in Atlanta. This resource should be local to Atlanta and will be required to work from the following Equifax office location - Alpharetta
To adhere to our Return To Office (RTO) weekly onsite requirements, Equifax has a hybrid work schedule that allows for 2 days of remote work (Monday and Friday), with 3 days onsite (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday) each and every week.
What you’ll do
Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their data analysis challenges, and work iteratively to prototype analyses and visualizations for review and feedback.
Analyze large and complex datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights. Apply statistical methods and data mining techniques to extract meaningful information from data.
Design and develop interactive and visually appealing data visualizations, dashboards, and reports using data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Looker, etc). Create intuitive tools to facilitate data exploration and analysis.
Communicate analyses to promote understanding by different levels of stakeholders.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Ensure and communicate the accuracy, completeness, reliability, and assumptions and limitations of analyses.
Adhere to data governance policies, standards, and best practices in the development and deployment of data visualizations. Maintain data security, privacy, and confidentiality in accordance with regulatory requirements and organizational policies.
What experience you need
BS degree in a STEM major or equivalent discipline
2-5 years of data analyst experience
Experience working with large datasets in a variety of different relational (e.g., Oracle) and non-relational structures (e.g., JSON, Avro) and data formats
Experience working with sensitive data (could include encryption / tokenization and other methods to anonymize data
Technical capabilities should include most of the following skills: Python, BigQuery, SQL, R, MS Excel / Google Sheets, Tableau, and/or Looker
Experience collaborating with others across diverse technology and business teams throughout a global enterprise
What could set you apart
Google Cloud certification preferred
Experience working with metadata (Informatica, Collibra, Alation, etc.) and work management (Aha!, Jira, etc.) tools
Cloud (preferably Google) certification and strong experience with cloud and on prem technologies, structured and unstructured data, streaming and reposed data
Familiarity with data privacy, consumer data protection, credit reporting, and other laws and regulations
Experience with a management consulting firm or related consulting skills preferred.
