In this position, you will lead the shaping and guiding of enterprise-level data architecture for cutting-edge data solutions that enhance our modern luxury products, services, and experiences. In this role, you will develop standards, tools, and governance for capturing, modelling, storing, and managing enterprise data. You will identify data-related business requirements and service standards while creating enterprise data models and optimising data flow to enhance accessibility within security boundaries. Your expertise will ensure that all data designs meet enterprise standards for both structured and unstructured data.

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities

 

Data Strategy Implementation: Actively participate in the development, implementation, and growth of a robust data strategy that aligns with the company’s vision and objectives Data Architecture Design: Provide standards and patterns to enable data designs that are scalable, secure, and efficient, meet business needs, ensuring data is sourced correctly, addressing any data inconsistency and quality issues with relevant stakeholders Data Architecture Governance: Establish and enforce governance policies and procedures to ensure data reuse, integrity and compliance, while maintaining a coherent Enterprise Data Model and adhering to best practice design principles Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including IT, Product/Project Development teams, business units, and vendors to understand data requirements that deliver effective solution level data architectures Technology Evaluation & Mentorship: Evaluate and recommend new data technologies and tools to enhance data architecture capabilities while providing guidance and mentorship to various data professionals within the organisation

 

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

 

Extensive experience in data architecture, data modelling, data engineering, database design, and integration architecture Proficient in data modelling tools (e.g., Erwin), data management tools (e.g., SQL, NoSQL, ETL processes), and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud), with a strong understanding of data architecture within agile methodologies Strong knowledge of data governance and enterprise architecture frameworks and best practices, e.g. DAMA, TOGAF, and Zachman Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a proven capacity to translate business requirements into effective technical solutions Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels, complemented by a proven track record in a similar role within the automotive or related industry
