Job Title: Enterprise Data Business Analyst

Department: IT

Manager/Supervisor: Global IT Process Lead


Position Overview:

The Enterprise Data Business Analyst is a critical member of the Information Technology team working in a global, dynamic and collaborative environment. This role is responsible for producing metrics and reporting to drive data-backed decision making across Insulet. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting Insulet’s Enterprise functions through data analytics and developing needed KPIs and metrics for functional areas and continuous improvement activities including documenting end to end processes, improvements and measuring outcomes This role will also work closely with the Global Business Services (GBS) Transformation team and the IT Business Relationship Management team, to identify additional KPIs for the functional areas to drive analysis of business problems and sustain process improvements.


Responsibilities:


This role is responsible for the following:

Perform business and systems analysis work; conduct requirements analysis via information gathering sessions with business users and technical staff, workshops and meetings to define business requirements for processes, identifying downstream impacts, and supporting metrics.Design, collect and analyze data to provide actionable insights to drive data-backed decision making across the organizationCompile reporting and analytics deliverables, including the implementation of standardized recurring reports, ad-hoc analysis, presentations, and dashboardsConduct analysis of existing processes through data analytics and reporti ngCreation of reports and dashboards using applications such as, but not limited to:

- SAP/ERP system

- Salesforce/CRM system

- WorkDay

- ServiceNow

- Atlassian Stack - Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, Bamboo

- Clarity

- Arena/QMS Systems
 

Create and maintain business requirement documentation which can include use cases, process flows, and system interface diagrams.Develop comprehensive test plans with users, coordinate test activities and/or help execute test components for reporting and analytics.Responsible for providing data expertise and consulting related to operational reporting and analytics.Define polices, process performance targets, necessary controls and KPIs in partnership with IT Leaders/Application owners and GBS ServicesGather KPI/metrics requirements from functional areas and large CI project activities, build the KPIs and develop on-going access to updated information (reports, dashboards)Perform other duties as required.


Education and Experience:

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent1-2 years of experience working in a Business Analyst function or similar experiences.Experience with the report developmentProven knowledge of the software and systems development life cycleExperience supporting and working with Functional Areas across an organization, preferably in the pharma, medical device, or any other regulatory controlled environment.

Ability to analyze problems and develop solutions.Experience in building and maintaining scalable business intelligence dashboards.Experience with data blending techniques and tools that automate data prep/clean-upAbility to leverage data to draw conclusions, create KPIs/metrics, develop dashboards/reportsAbility to work across multiple business units with varying processes and requirements.Excellent communication skills\Positive, results driven, rational, logical, team player.Ability to rapidly learn and take advantage of new concepts, business models, and technologies.Ability to work independently & on multiple projects against deadlines.Excellent writing skills. Must have the ability to express strategy, technical knowledge, and processes in easily understood presentations.Must possess a high level of attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and ability to multitask and prioritizeExperience using a data warehouse to manage dataExperience in the healthcare, pharma or medical device industry a plus.
