About the Role
We are seeking a visionary Group Data Product Manager (GPM) – AI/ML & Metadata Management to lead the development of cutting-edge AI/ML-powered metadata solutions. This role focuses on creating a unified, user-friendly Data Platform to serve diverse personas like data engineers, producers, and consumers. By integrating multiple tools into a seamless platform, you’ll enhance data discoverability, governance, and efficiency at scale.

What We’re Looking For

8+ years of experience in data product management, metadata management, or AI/ML-powered product development. Proven expertise in managing metadata tools (e.g., Data Catalog, Data Lineage, AI/ML integrations). Strong knowledge of metadata standards (e.g., DCAT, OpenMetadata) and big data platforms (e.g., Snowflake, Databricks, Kafka). Experience with unified data platform development to enhance user experience across diverse personas. Familiarity with data governance frameworks and regulations (GDPR, DPDPA, CCPA). Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

What You’ll Do

Lead Metadata Product Strategy: Drive the vision and roadmap for metadata solutions powered by AI/ML, enabling smarter, faster, and more reliable data usage across Ford. Build a Unified Data Platform: Integrate various tools (e.g., Column Description Generator, Countryness, Chatbot, Code Generation) into a cohesive platform with a single UI to simplify and enhance user experience for data engineers, producers, and consumers. Develop AI/ML Solutions: Oversee AI/ML-based initiatives such as: Column Description Generator: Automate and improve column descriptions to ensure consistency and quality across the data ecosystem. Countryness: Automate country-specific data assignment to enhance security and compliance. Chatbot: Build a smart, intuitive data guide to streamline discovery and understanding of data. Code Generation: Use LLMs to automate query generation, code development, and workflow optimization for improved productivity. Enable Metadata-Driven Governance: Build tools like Data Catalogs and Data Lineage to empower users to discover, trust, and manage data effectively while ensuring compliance with regulations like GDPR, DPDPA, and CCPA. Foster Innovation: Leverage AI/ML to automate metadata management workflows, enabling Ford’s data assets to be scalable, discoverable, and AI-ready. Collaborate Across Teams: Work with engineering, governance, and analytics teams to align metadata solutions with broader data platform strategies
