Enterprise Epic Training Specialist 1 | Clinical Informatics and Training | Full-Time
Overview The Enterprise Epic Training Specialist I, relating to their supported application(s) and for all UF Health locations,participates in new and ongoing training projects; provides efficient and effective Epic training and education for upgrades, new projects, new users, and ongoing support and education; and collaborates with Principal and Certified Trainers, Super Users, and end-users. The Training Specialist must have a working understanding of Epic system functionality and/or departmental work flows as they relate to the supported Epic application(s). The Training Specialist must have strongplanning, communication, and relationship skills and maintain a flexible schedule to meet customer needs. The Training Specialist primarily supports one service area/location, however, may be required to support the application(s) at any UF Health location based on need and as assigned by their manager. Responsibilities Participates in new projects at an enterprise or service area level as required. Provides EPIC training and education for new users and ongoing support throughout the enterprise or service area level as required. Works with and provides feedback to its epic clinical and business analyst teams, super users, end-users, principal, certified, and credentialed trainers, and clinical coordinators to review and improve training environments and curriculum Acts as a liaison and advocate for end-users. Foster a friendly and inclusive training environment where everyone feels comfortable asking questions and interacting with each other Adapt training methods to accommodate diverse learning styles and preferences, ensuring that all trainees have the opportunity to grasp Epic functionalities effectively Develop and nurture positive relationships with trainees and stakeholders, facilitating open communication channels and soliciting feedback to continuously enhance training experiences and outcomes Provides ongoing end-user support for Epic system, to include responding to help desk tickets forwarded to the Training Dept., and responding to email inquiries, phone calls and pages from end-users regarding workflows, processes, and procedures on a daily basis Qualifications Associates Degree in related field is required. One year of experience in adult education, EMR workflows, or hospitals is required. Epic Credentialed Trainer status in supported application within 6 months of hire or transfer into the position.
