Enterprise Quality Manager

Responsibilities What You’ll Do Responsible for practical support (as an individual contributor) and strategic oversight, direction, and delivery of enterprise-wide Quality Systems Management (QMS) and its supporting systems and processes. Facilitate (at times lead) complex initiatives and improvement projects designed to advance business operations to drive positive financial results. Day-to-Day operations and decision-making related to activities which further deepen the partnerships with the Business Advisory (BA) functional areas to ensure appropriate quality/compliance oversight and solutioning. You will have proven experience leading, strategizing, partnering, and influencing others across various functions and personnel in positions at all levels. Provide leadership and guidance to the business and program to ensure the quality system and framework are implemented, understood, and maintained at all levels. Track activities and projects toward completion, ready to provide reports internally and externally as required. Key Responsibilities Quality Manage the corporate QMS, specifically establishing strategic goals to enhance the current QMS and continuous improvement framework toward an effective future state. Develop, manage, and maintain the corporate enterprise quality requirements of audit, non-conformance, certifications, and risk management. Ensure all corporate / enterprise activities maintain compliance with existing ISO 9001, ISO 27001 standards, including support in obtaining future ISO / AS certifications. Manage the enterprise quality audit program, including identification of audit area, supporting auditors to ensure completion, and monitoring findings and trends. Manage the enterprise corrective and preventive (CAPA) program, including seeing activity thru to completion and building off the improvements. Coach employees through problems of diverse scope in which analysis of situations or data requires evaluation of intangible factors, typically via a Root Cause Analysis (RCA) exercise. Provide support to Program staff, clients, DCMA, DCAA and others, as required. Collaborate with other functional area goals and priorities by soliciting information from those functional groups during development of departmental objectives. Lead, develop, and coordinate quality training activities for BA and / or program teams. Coach, mentor, and train a global, diverse quality team (1.5 personnel). Perform ad hoc analysis on strict deadlines. Other duties as assigned Continuous Improvement Identify, analyze, and execute opportunities to create business operational savings. Support and resolve ad hoc business problems utilizing Lean Six Sigma (LSS) tools. Support corporate projects as required on time and on budget. Provides training and guidance to continuous improvement project teams on methods and tools for continuous improvement Qualifications Minimum Qualifications Education / Certifications: One-year related experience may be substituted for one year of education if degree is required. Bachelor’s degree (BA / BS) required. Business or Systems-related field preferred Experience: Seven (7+) years of quality-related experience, preferably in Aerospace & Defense industry. Four (4+) years leading a team of auditors and quality professionals. Two (2+) years applying business management and improvement techniques. One (1+) years leading process improvement projects. Certifications: Certified Quality Auditor (CQA) Required (or ability to obtain within 6 months) Lean Six Sigma (LSS) Certification (or ability to obtain within 6 months) Six Sigma Green Belt (SSGB) or Certified Lean Practitioner (CLP) preferred. Other Requirement(s): Travel up to 10% (Domestic, potentially international) 100% Remote U.S. Citizenship Required Skills & Technology Used: Must be proficient in the English language. Demonstrate solid project management, communications, and leadership/teaming skills. Ability to build and work within high performance teams in a matrix-management environment. Excellent communication skills (both oral and written), and strong interpersonal skills, as this position interfaces with all functions within the organization and a broad group of outside constituencies. Sound business judgment and the highest level of integrity are required. Experience that demonstrates the ability to contribute to fast-paced business leadership teams is a plus. Personal computer, printer, copy machine and other general office equipment. Proficient in the use of computers and computer software programs such as Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel. The successful candidate’s starting pay will be based on, but not limited to, their job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. The following salary range is intended to display the value of the company’s base pay compensation and may be modified at the discretion of the company. USD $95,000 - $140,000 Provided salary range minimum and maximum values correspond to variances between regional/geographic locations across the United States.
