Enterprise Risk Frameworks Manager

We are seeking a talented individual to join our Risk and Compliance team at Mercer. This role will be based in Melbourne or Sydney. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least two to three days a week in the office.

Enterprise Risk Frameworks Manager

The primary purpose of this role is to design, oversee and drive the operation of MMC Pacific Risk and Compliance Frameworks. This includes Management of cyclical risk and compliance activities, oversight and analysis of risk management data  and working closely in the business to embed frameworks and build capability.The ability to balance technical expertise with a practical understanding of the business, a passion for driving change and strong stakeholder management skills will be critical to the success of this role. 

We will count on you to:

Cultivate a culture of risk awareness through leading and supporting initiatives to uplift skills and capability relating to governance, risk and compliance across the Business.Provide coaching and support to first line teams on key risk management processes and frameworks.Execute targeted deep dive reviews on risk maturity as and when needed.Provide training and advice to support risk and compliance frameworks, and embedding of the 3LOD model.Participate in local and global initiatives with respect to risk and compliance frameworks.Maintain and lead implementation of the Risk Management Framework across Marsh Mclennan Pacific, with support from the broader Risk & Compliance team.Where components within the RMF are owned by other members of the team, ensure appropriate collaboration and co-ordination for effective design and implementation of the overall framework.Partner with colleagues leading the change implementation (with R&C and broader business) to ensure RMF related changes are appropriately planned and scheduled to ensure effective implementation.Liaise with external auditors and regulators, providing relevant information, completing walkthroughs (as required), and maintaining a strong posture.Liaise with external auditors and regulators, providing relevant information, completing walkthroughs (as required), and maintaining a strong posture.

What you need to have: 

At least 5 year’s working in a risk, compliance or legal role with experience related to managed investment schemes, custodian arrangements, funds management or investments.  Work experience should show some depth in the practical application of risk management.Experience working in or providing services to a regulated financial services business, with an ability to interpret and apply associated legislative requirements.Sound understanding and ability to operate within Risk and Compliance frameworks, including the ability to consider risk strategically and take a commercial approach to compliance when required.Ability to provide value add advice to the Business in respect of risks, controls, process and administrative matters.Ability to analyse data and collate and prepare reports in relation to risk profiles, compliance plans, statutory requirements, regulatory fund lodgements, incidents, audit and investment risk data.Strong written and verbal communication, with foundation capability of operating with Boards and in the provision of Director level information.
