Enterprise Risk Governance Business Analyst

Job Description:

At Regions, the Enterprise Risk Governance Analyst participates in the deployment of a comprehensive risk management approach to ensure risks are identified, measured, mitigated, monitored, and reported in alignment with the Risk Management Framework, the Board of Directors’ Risk Appetite Statement, and regulatory expectations. This position will directly assist Business and Risk Management partners in the execution of risk programs.

Primary Responsibilities

Assists in leading the development and implementation of internal risk and control structures to ensure objectivity and consistency of risk assessment, management, and reporting across the organization, and provides critical challenge as to the appropriateness of existing risk and control structuresAssists in coordinating the compilation, data aggregation, and updating of enterprise-level financial and/or non-financial risk metricsAssists in the creation and routine reporting of metrics that measure key risk and performance areasAnalyzes risk data and/or prepares risk assessments, including maintenance of supporting workpapersCollaborates on occasions with business partners, technology teams, and other specialized risk management teams to understand functional requirements, streamline processes, and optimize risk program deploymentCoordinates some projects, including change management, design, implementation, communication/reporting, and relationship managementCreates presentations, job aids, training materials, and reporting tools through SharePoint, PowerBI, and enterprise Governance, Risk, Compliance (GRC) Archer tools/reportingCoordinates the setting of meeting agendas and the development of materials, including drafting minutes for various risk committeesOffers advice and guidance to junior analysts

This position is exempt from timekeeping requirements under the Fair Labor Standards Act and is not eligible for overtime pay.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Risk Management or a business-related fieldThree (3) years of experience in risk management, public accounting, or the financial industryWorking knowledge of enterprise risk and operational risk management frameworks, principles, and practices

Preferences

Working knowledge of databases, data structures, bank financial reporting, and bank regulationsProficiency with Archer, Microsoft Power BI, and/or TableauExperience in process improvement, process optimization, and solution development and implementationExperience drafting executive and board risk reports, under supervision

Skills and Competencies

Ability to research, analyze data, and derive factsAbility to work under moderate supervisionAbility to work under pressure and meet deadlinesStrong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)Strong project management and change management skillsStrong verbal, written communication, and organizational skillsStrong work ethic and self-motivation

Compensation Details

Pay ranges are job specific and are provided as a point-of-market reference for compensation decisions. Other factors which directly impact pay for individual associates include: experience, skills, knowledge, contribution, job location and, most importantly, performance in the job role. As these factors vary by individuals, pay will also vary among individual associates within the same job.

The target information listed below is based on the Metropolitan Statistical Area Market Range for where the position is located and level of the position.

$100,090.00 USD
