Enterprise Risk Management Practice Lead – NSW

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a seasoned Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) Practice Lead – NSW to join our Marsh Advisory team, based in Sydney.

As the ERM Practice Lead, you will drive the growth and success of the Risk Consulting practice in New South Wales. This is a strategic leadership role where you will leverage your operational risk expertise, particularly within the financial sector, to deliver exceptional value to our clients. Your experience working with large financial institutions or banks will be critical to this role.

We will count on you to:

Lead and grow the Risk Consulting practice in NSW, delivering innovative solutions and driving exceptional client outcomes.Conduct Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) advisory engagements, enhancing risk maturity and aligning clients’ strategies with industry-leading practices.Provide expert operational risk advice, particularly for clients in the financial sector, including large banks and financial institutions.Translate global risk management standards into actionable strategies that deliver sustainable outcomes for clients in highly regulated industries.Cultivate strong client relationships, ensuring a deep understanding of their unique needs and providing tailored risk solutions.Oversee and manage complex risk advisory projects, ensuring timely delivery, adherence to budgets, and exceptional quality standards.Develop comprehensive recommendations and solutions through various formats, including reports, presentations, and webinars.Lead and mentor a team of risk professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment.Advise clients on operational risk mitigation strategies and the implementation of internal controls to enhance risk management capabilities.Collaborate with Marsh McLennan experts to deliver high-impact solutions across the financial and broader industry sectors.Stay informed about evolving regulations, industry standards, and best practices in the financial sector, ensuring compliance and providing thought leadership.Drive business development initiatives, identifying and capitalizing on opportunities to expand the Risk Consulting practice.Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of risk advisory service delivery.

 

What you need to have: 

12+ years of experience in operational risk management and/or risk advisory within the financial sector, including experience with large banks or financial institutions.Proven leadership experience, including leading teams and managing large-scale client projects.Strong background in operational risk management and ERM frameworks, including ISO 31000 and COSO.A degree in Business, Commerce, or Management; professional certifications such as CA, CPA, or CFE are desirable.Demonstrated success in growing and managing a consulting business or practice.
