What you'll do:

The ERM Associate Director will work within the bank’s second line of defense and will be responsible for developing, implementing, and enhancing the risk and control self-assessments (RCSA) program.

This role is part of the Enterprise and Operational Risk Management Group (ERM/ORM) in the second line of defense that is responsible for developing and implementing the bank's risk management framework. ERM/ORM is a growing organization focused on providing expert guidance, credible challenge, and effective oversight of risk-taking activities throughout the company. The organization plays a critical role in helping to inform bank management and the Board of Directors of the risks inherent in its actions and decisions, enterprise impacts, and opportunities to manage risk.

What we are looking for:

Responsibilities:

Execute and enhance second line of defense Risk and Control Self-Assessment (RCSA) programDevelop framework and standards for the first line of defense operational risk management requirements and act as subject matter expert for first line risk liaisons.Provide guidance and effective challenge to the first line of defense on risk and control inventories and assessmentsProvide input, feedback, and challenge to various stakeholders as requested for alignment with RCSA process.Partner with other second line of defense subject matter experts to ensure proper effective challenge is performed on risk and control inventories and assessmentsEnsure effective implementations of the Bank’s operational risk management programs through training, awareness and monitoringDevelop and perform various reporting related to RCSA data and resultsLead and develop a team; responsible for hiring, coaching, performance management, training, and development

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in related field10 + years of direct, related experience in second or third line of defense3 + years of experience with Risk and Control Self-Assessment (RCSA) Knowledge of general banking operations, including deposit operations, loan administration, treasury management and/or other commercial banking products and servicesKnowledge of applicable regulatory and legal compliance obligations, rules and regulations, industry standards and practicesRelevant industry and professional experience across one or more of the three lines of defenseSolid verbal and written communication skillsPrevious leadership experience required
