Edgewater Federal Solutions is currently seeking an Enterprise Security System (ESS) Administrator to provide support to the FLETC Enterprise IT Support Services contract located at FLETC Headquarters in Glynco, GA.
ResponsibilitiesDesign, install, configure, administer, manage, upgrade, troubleshoot, diagnose, test, monitor, and document the FLETC ESS environment.
Review, test, implement, and ensure compliance with the IT security guidance received from the FLETC and DHS, System Security Authorizations, System Test and Evaluations, Security Policies, Hardening Guidelines, NIST, and FLETC Information Systems Security Officers (ISSOs) or Chief lnformation Security Officer (CISO) guidance for all enterprise IT infrastructure devices and software. This includes but is not limited to:
Monitoring audit logs as outlined in DHS and/or FLETC policies and procedures.
Performing security hardening of all hardware and software.
Installation of all required security patches.
Installation of operating system and firmware upgrades.
Developing, implementing and conducting backup and recovery procedures for the enterprise IT infrastructure.Assisting in developing, testing, and implementing FLETC Continuity of Operations Plans (COOP), contingency plans, and System Security Plans (SSP). Assisting in systems' Security Authorization testing. Identifying and reporting security incidents to the appropriate authorities for action and resolution. Assisting in the resolution of security event notifications for hardware and software. Report on all corrective actions or exceptions to vulnerabilities and configuration management deficiencies. Implement, test, and maintain on premise and/or cloud-based enterprise IT security devices to include firewalls, router/switch configurations, and network monitoring tools.Manage enterprise IT infrastructure security utilizing the latest on premise and/or cloud-based network security principles, techniques and protocols and utilize network security technologies monitoring tools and applications to provide optimal system integrity, confidentiality and availability. Provide recommendations for enterprise IT infrastructure security enhancements to current or future on premise and/or cloud-based network, server, storage, and client infrastructure and be able to provide security techniques to ensure proper security measures are completed. Write, and/or orally present, accurate and comprehensive reports of enterprise IT infrastructure security proposals, designs, analysis, findings, and recommendations. Provide recommendations for enterprise IT infrastructure security enhancements to current or future on premise and/or cloud-based network infrastructure and be able to provide security techniques to ensure proper security measures are completed. Serve as a member of a Technical Change Control Board to provide security guidance and communicate federal and DHS IT security standards for all configuration changes, implementations, projects, and initiatives within the enterprise IT infrastructure. QualificationsMinimum of 2 years of related experience
U.S. Citizenship is required per contract to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance
Expertise in server, database, storage and security technologies
