The primary role of the incumbent is to plan and direct projects that are a priority of the DHS Commissioner’s Office including, but not limited to, the Service Delivery Transformation Governance Model, and the DHS/DCYF Shared Governance Model. In this role, this position provides the coordination and oversight of DHS’s governance system, as well as tactical and administrative direction related to the execution of governance. **Responsibilities include but may not be limited to:** + Lead cross agency teams in the ongoing planning and project management process for enterprise-wide, high-impact projects. + Partner with others on coordinating, designing, and implementing governance systems that impact both the agency and its partners. + Assist the DHS Commissioner’s Office, and other executive leadership with ad hoc project management and executive level communication needs as requested. + Lead and coordinate external stakeholder engagement initiatives that support DHS and Human Services Landscape priorities. + Direct and facilitate external-facing activities that have a DHS or Human Services Landscape component and/or a federal and/or state statutory requirement. + Directs projects, in concert with executive leadership, to support highly complex projects that increase the agency’s ability to align, renew and sustain effectiveness. **Minimum Qualifications** **_**To facilitate proper crediting, please ensure that your resume clearly describes your experience in the areas listed and indicates the beginning and ending month, day and year for each job held.**_** Three (3) years of consulting/project management, analytical and problem-solving skills focused on large scale, highly visible projects with the ability to think strategically and align projects with business goals. Experience must demonstrate: + Project management with experience in the implementation of large-scale projects across an organization or enterprise. + Complex problem solving and strategic thinking skills. + Building and overseeing effective workgroups and teams with a variety of stakeholders and perspectives. + Facilitation of group discussions, public speaking, and presenting complex information to diverse audiences. + Leading the development of detailed action plans. + Strong human relations skills set with ability to inform, facilitate, negotiate with and broker agreements between individuals and groups. **Preferred Qualifications** + Ability to support governance, organizational design, organizational change management, objective development, continuous improvement and evaluation to ensure quality standards are met. + Knowledge of state government programs and their interrelationships and an understanding of human services policy and procedures, and of government functions and relations. + Ability to work with executive leadership. + Variety of experiences working effectively with others from different backgrounds and cultures. **Additional Requirements** REFERENCE/BACKGROUND CHECKS – DHS will conduct reference checks to verify job-related credentials and a criminal background check prior to appointment.
