Job Description

The Enterprise Solutions Technician is an integral part of ITW’s Corporate IT team. They are responsible for administrating, supporting, and optimizing the N-Central remote monitoring and management (RMM) platform that is used across the entire ITW enterprise. This role emphasizes technical expertise, operational management, and collaboration with cross-functional IT teams to ensure secure and efficient IT asset management across ITW’s diverse divisions. This position is ideal for a proactive technician skilled in patch management, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement in a high-stakes environment.

Key Responsibilities

Platform Administration: Administer, configure, and optimize the N-Central platform to support ITW’s enterprise IT monitoring and management needs.Operations Management: Oversee day-to-day operations within N-Central, ensuring uninterrupted functionality and effective response to system alerts and issues.Troubleshooting & Escalation: Provide Level 2/3 technical support and resolve escalated incidents, collaborating with other IT teams as needed.User Engagement & Training: Develop and deliver training sessions for end-users on N-Central functionality and best practices, driving platform adoption.Technical Advisor: Act as a technical resource, guiding N-Central enhancements and system improvements to meet evolving business needs.Patch Management & Platform Optimization: Ensure rigorous adherence to patch management best practices, proactively address vulnerabilities, and optimize platform performance.System Audits: Conduct regular audits of N-Central configurations for compliance, maintaining operational integrity and security alignment.Documentation & Knowledge Base Management: Maintain up-to-date documentation on system configurations, processes, and troubleshooting steps in the knowledge repository.Security & Compliance Coordination: Partner with Cybersecurity teams to align N-Central configurations with ITW’s security policies and compliance standards.Automation & Scripting: Leverage PowerShell scripting to automate repetitive tasks and streamline operations within the N-Central platform.

QualificationsBachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, or a related field; or equivalent professional experience.Experience: 3+ years in IT support or system administration, with specific experience in remote monitoring and management platforms (N-Central preferred).Technical Skills:Proficiency in patch management, incident response, and system auditing.Advanced PowerShell scripting experience for automation within N-Central or similar RMM tools.Familiarity with IT security standards and compliance frameworks.Soft Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.Effective communication skills.
