Overview
MUFG Pension and Market Service is seeking an experienced Enterprise Tooling Expert to join our team. This role is pivotal in driving the transformation of our enterprise tool stack and SRE practice. Individual will act as an expert in end-to-end management and support for our enterprise tool ranging from Infrastructure monitoring (Splunk, SolarWinds etc.), Application monitoring (New Relic, Data Dog, Dynatrace etc.), ITSM (ServiceNow), major business and infosec tools (to be disclosed later). SME will be responsible for onboarding new applications and infrastructure, focusing on transformative solutions that enhance our enterprise capabilities.
Key Accountabilities and main responsibilities Strategic Focus Lead the deployment, configuration, and transformation of monitoring and alerting tools, including application monitoring tools (New Relic, DataDog) and infrastructure monitoring tools (Splunk). Operational Management Onboarding New Solutions: Oversee the onboarding of new applications and infrastructure, ensuring seamless integration with existing monitoring and alerting systems. Deploying console, dashboards and configuration for App monitoring Integration platform management tools with ServiceNow using Rest API Transformation Projects: Drive and manage transformation initiatives related to monitoring and alerting, focusing on improving processes and tools to meet evolving business needs. Integrating with Cloud – Enabling Configuration Item’s hosted on cloud for our enterprise monitoring. Performance Optimization: Analyze performance data from monitoring tools to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions that enhance system reliability and efficiency. People Leadership Technical Leadership: Provide expertise and guidance on best practices for implementing and optimizing enterprise tools, supporting cross-functional teams. Troubleshooting & Support: Address complex issues related to tool integration and alerting, collaborating with other application teams to deliver effective solutions. Governance & Risk Keeping in mind the GDPR regulations, privilege access management and role-based access control to keep the zero-trust policy intact. A deep understand of infosec best practices is must with an overview of Key Management, DLP, Backup and Recovery solutions. Risk Management – Any risk in new tools being onboarded should be mitigated at planning stage along with a deep understanding of phasing out old tools reducing dependencies and onboarding new tools. Experience & Personal Attributes Experience Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Experience: Overall experience of 12+ years and Proven experience of 10+ years in transformation of enterprise tooling Technical Skills: Expertise in onboarding new applications and infrastructure with a focus on transformational improvements rather than routine administration. Hands-on experience in modules like event management, CMDB Discovery, Synthetic monitoring, task automation – runbook based, service mapping. Personal Attributes Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and drive actionable improvements. Problem-Solving: Demonstrated ability to address and resolve complex technical issues with a proactive and solution-oriented approach. Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a proven ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment and lead transformation projects.
