ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The following and other duties may be assigned as necessary:

Creatively reimagine and modernize the entertainment and experience philosophy and programming for the casino.  Identify and create unique, immersive experiences for our guests. Collaborate with the management team, marketing team, sales team, player development and F&B, to develop and implement entertainment and experiences that encompass the casino’s philosophy.Develop and implement a variety of experiences including player parties, concerts, boxing matches, etc.  Coordinate all entertainment and experiences with internal departments and external vendors.Responsible for identifying opportunities for entertainment, both free and ticketed in venues throughout the property.Work with the Marketing team to publicize all special events.Maintain strong relationships with event vendors, labor organizations, related media partners and property departments. Assure that event lineup supports the overall Marketing strategy and goals.Identify opportunities, sponsorships, partnerships, and promotions for marketing and sales.Negotiate event discounts/advantages on behalf of the company; identify cost-savings.Presence at all entertainment events and experiences to evaluate performance, draw, and quality of entertainment and experiences.   Works closely with planning and analysis to prepare proforma for proposed entertainment events and experiences and postforma for completed entertainment events and experiences to monitor results and profit objectives of each performance.Responsible for presentation of entertainment and experience options to Director and VP of Marketing prior to booking.Responsible for updating and maintaining monthly marketing calendars including all entertainment and experiential events, and larger area festivals and concerts, etc.Responsible for assisting in the budget process for the department and providing recommendations; ensuring compliance to departmental budget initiatives; reporting budget concerns to manager.  Enthusiastically supports, actively promotes, and demonstrates superior customer service in accordance with department and company standards and programs.  Ensures customer service standards are followed by all team members and addresses issues as they arise.  Responsible for the overall achievement of department customer service goals.Responsible for ensuring observance of all regulatory compliance within area of responsibility and reporting potential issues to Executive Management / GM. Maintains strict confidentiality in all departmental and company matters.

 

Special Events/Entertainment:

Responsible for planning, organizing, and reserving the scheduled entertainment and experience acts for all performances on property. Dress in appropriate uniform/attire based upon event/venue, occasionally a costume may be used. BRING US YOUR BEST.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

Minimum 3 years previous experience and proficiency in planning, managing, and executing events.Excellent communications, organizational and interpersonal skills, strong analytical ability.Ability to lead others by influence and develop strong relationships across the organization - Sales, Marketing, Functional Partners) to achieve the plan objectives.Creative thinker and fast learner, ability to communicate ideas effectively.Ability to speak in public forums.Ability to effectively and consistently communicate plans, directives, and information to employeesAbility to effectively translate company objectives into creative show/event platforms.Ability to manage staff and external vendors to maximize productivity of department.Ability to effectively communicate company messages across all markets.Excellent knowledge of production equipment/show/event environment.Ability to deal with confidential tasks, with total discretion.Flexible, ability to identify and resolve problems quickly.Must have excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills. Must have technical proficiency and knowledge in Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, and Outlook).Strong client interface and presentation skills preferred.Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the public.Must have the ability to interact with guests, staff and colleagues and resolve problems and conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner.Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.  Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.Must have demonstrated ability to drive toward results.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES                                                    

This job will have supervisory responsibilities.

Partners with marketing management for staff development.Responsible for rewards and recognition program to maximize employee engagement.Partners with marketing management to determine proper staffing (including interviewing and hiring) and scheduling (planning, assigning and directing work) to meet business needs. Manages work procedures and expedites workflow.Responsible for vendor relations and performance.

 

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and interpret documents in English, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to read and communicate verbally in English. Written communication skills in in English may also be required.

 

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

 

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

Employee must be able to qualify for licenses and permits required by federal, state and local regulations.

 

May be required to obtain a First Aid/AED certification.  Must successfully complete C.A.R.E or TIPS training.
