**WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR**
Does the sight of a fresh pair of running shoes make you want to hit the pavement immediately? Do you get excited at the prospect of leading store employees through a technical breakdown of Nike’s running shoe lineup? Are you passionate about helping others discover their love for sport? If you thrive in retail, enjoy learning about the needs of athletes, and live for the “moment of truth” when they choose the perfect shoe to carry them through their season, this could be the job for you!
In 1981, Nike created the EKIN team (EKIN is “Nike” spelled backwards) to serve as Nike’s Athlete Missionaries, building deep and meaningful relationships with athletes in the community. EKINs served as the baton between Nike’s products and customers, sharing product insights and innovations while converting others to discover a passion for sport.
Today, the EKIN team continues that mission, bringing Nike’s inspiration and innovation to athletes around the globe. While this role has a strong focus on running, EKINs represent Nike across all sports, ensuring that every athlete can find the right gear to make athlete dreams real.
You’ll help maintain brand consistency, build relationships, and deliver exceptional educational experiences, in Nike-owned stores, with key retail partners and the community.
We are looking for an EKIN to join our team based in Portland, OR. The ideal candidate is a dedicated sport enthusiast, with a particular passion for running, a background in retail, and excellent presentation skills. These qualities have driven EKINs success for over 40 years, and they will continue to power Nike for the next 50.
