Entry Level Electrical Engineer Job Description
We are seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to support our aviation communication development needs. The role involves comprehending customer Statements of Need, developing Technical Requirements, and creating End-to-End System Designs between our customers, both internal and external, and our communication services.
Responsibilities
+ Analyze statements of need and business requirements.
+ Lead highly technical engineering teams on challenging RF-focused projects.
+ Develop RF test procedures.
+ Evaluate communications equipment.
+ Provide analysis for the decomposition of customer specifications and system-level requirements into sub-system and piece-part requirements.
+ Develop solutions with cross-discipline engineering teams.
+ Document technical analysis.
+ Perform analysis of data flows and data logs.
+ Analyze the performance of the system against established systems performance parameters such as latency, availability, and capacity.
+ Represent the company in industry forums.
Essential Skills
+ Proficiency in RF, Radio Frequency, VHF, HF, UHF, LHF, modulation, and propagation.
+ STEM degree, preferably in Electrical Engineering.
+ Experience with datalink, telecommunications, modulation, error correction/FEC, and waveform analysis.
+ Competence in simulation software, Python, and MATLAB.
+ Strong troubleshooting skills.
+ Experience with hardware, VHF, HF, systems engineering, requirements development, spectrum analyzer, and oscilloscope.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience with high-gain directional HF antennas.
+ Knowledge of RF interference mitigation and microwave systems.
+ Proven communication and collaboration skills with counterparts in Avionics, Mission Systems, and Commercial Systems.
+ Participation in industry committees developing interface or communication specifications.
+ Experience with aeronautical communication, air traffic management, or airline operations.
+ Implementing architectural changes and customer-driven enhancements to complex systems.
+ Experience with full lifecycle development, test, implementation, and long-term support.
+ Developing technical product roadmaps for migrating from the current state to the targeted future state.
+ Management of the configuration process, functional analysis, timeline analysis, and operational scenarios.
+ Integrating with external systems operated by external companies or agencies.
+ Analyzing performance of complex systems through statistical analysis.
+ Performing technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems.
+ Eliciting and managing customer requirements.
+ Experience working in a highly integrated team environment with software, hardware, and network engineers.
+ Knowledge of contemporary technologies applicable to addressing product and market needs.
+ Experience working in communication systems.
+ Experience working in a service-oriented business model for engineering.
+ Experience working in high availability systems with a sound understanding of RMA and redundant architectures and design.
Work Environment
The position requires working onsite in Annapolis for 3 days a week
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $150000.00
