Entry-Level Aerodynamics Engineer

In this role, you will work towards achieving Best-in-Class Aerodynamic performance in the commercial vehicle market. Responsibilities As an Aerodynamics Engineer, you will: Conduct computational fluid dynamics (CFD) simulations and wind tunnel testing to evaluate and improve vehicle aerodynamics Analyze test data and simulation results to identify areas for improvement and recommend design modifications Work with various engineering groups to communicate aerodynamic results and ensure aero performance is maintained through product design Assist in new product development to meet regulatory and market requirements Use CAD software to create models for aerodynamic studies Help build functional prototype parts for physical testing Maintain a database of aerodynamic results and features Support the development of aerodynamic testing procedures and protocols Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in aerodynamics and related technologies Minimum Requirements Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology or Computer Science OR Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology or Computer Science and will obtain degree prior to first day of employment Additional Requirements Qualified candidates, excluding current International Motors employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States. International Motors does not anticipate providing employment related work sponsorship for this position (e.g., H-1B status) Desired Skills Ability to travel up to 25%. Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering, or a related field Interest in commercial vehicles and vehicle aerodynamics Familiarity with wind tunnel testing and CFD Experience with CAD software such as NX or CATIA Experience building prototypes and 3D printings Understanding of basic dimensioning and tolerancing is a plus Familiarity with scripting (Matlab preferred) Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills Strong communication and teamwork abilities Ability to manage multiple tasks and handle ambiguity comfortably Company Overview At International Motors, LLC* (“International”), we’ve never backed away from forging our own path.
