Overview
GradyMinor, a Pape-Dawson company, is currently seeking an Entry Level Civil Engineer (E.I.) to join their experienced, competitive, and diverse team of professionals. As a Civil Engineer, you will support our team in a variety of needs and gain invaluable work experience on projects that will shape the future of Southwest Florida.
Responsibilities
Support and assist in the preparation of civil construction plans for streets and roadways, drainage, water and wastewater facilities, utility plans, technical memorandums, and permitting documentation.
Support the Design Team and Project Managers from preliminary and conceptual design through final stages of design and through construction.
Conduct permitting research and application submittals, land development codes review, utility standards review, construction administration assistance including review of materials, contractor requests for information, as well as on-site inspections during construction.
Requires project management skills, ability to coordinate with multi-disciplinary team members, and management of project budgets and schedules.
Communicate effectively with fellow team members, clients, and regulatory agencies, and work as part of a team.
Ability to work both in the field and in office settings.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering or related field from four-year college or university.
Strong written and verbal skills required.
Familiarity with Southwest Florida land regulations is preferred but not required.
Must have passed or are planning on taking the fundamentals of engineering exam.
