Job Description
We are currently hiring for field or project engineers to work on a variety of projects including sanitary and storm sewers, wastewater facilities, water distribution facilities, site work, and grading.This role involves acting as a liaison between the client, the contractor, and the engineer in the office.ResponsibilitiesServe as the engineering representative onsite whenever the contractor is performing work.Observe and report to ensure that the work is being done according to specifications.Complete daily construction reports on a tablet, recording daily activities and material quantities used.Contact the project engineer and assist in resolving onsite issues.Conduct field observation for construction quantification for payment purposes.Essential SkillsCivil Engineering Degree or equivalentWillingness to perform field workAdditional Skills & QualificationsDegree in Civil or Environmental EngineeringPrevious engineering internship experienceProficiency in Civil engineering, Land development, Inspection, Stormwater, Site development, Environmental Engineering, Design, Civil design, Civil 3D, and AutoCAD Civil 3DWork EnvironmentThis role offers a hybrid schedule with one day a week working from home.The field engineer will spend 6-18 months in the field, depending on project progress, with the opportunity to move into a designer role afterwards.Daily travel to project sites within a 50-mile radius of Pittsburgh is required, using a personal vehicle with mileage reimbursement.The company offers a dynamic and engaging work environment, with opportunities for career advancement and participation in fun activities such as quarterly sporting events and trivia nights.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $22.00 - $28.00
